Bottom Line Wellness. A Real Food Real Health Conference


The Chester County Chapter of the Weston A Price Foundation and GMO FREE PA recently presented Bottom Line Wellness. A Real Food Real Health conference at Kimberton Waldorf School.

The conference offered attendees a full day of learning and exploring how our foods and soil are the foundation to a healthy life. The day included three speakers who are experts in their field of food, nutrition, and soil management. Below is an overview of the fantastic speakers and the topics they discussed.


Food as Medicine with Dr. Ella McElwee

Ella McElwee, PhD, HmD, ND shared what practical things you can do at home that will make a big difference in your health and wellness. Dr. McElwee delivered an inspiring, in-depth presentation about the healing powers of food.

Ella is the founder and director of Health By Choice, Inc.’s Integrated Health Care Center and Natural Food Store in beautiful Morrison’s Cove area in rural western Pennsylvania and of Health by Choice East in Manheim (Lancaster County), Pennsylvania. Nationally known as a speaker and educator in the field of nutrition and natural healing, Ella has been utilizing the concepts of Homeopathy and Naturopathy in her unique, individualized counseling of clients for over thirty years.


Nourishing Traditional Diets: The Key to Vibrant Health with Sally Fallon Morell, MA

Animal fats, properly prepared whole grains, enzyme-enriched foods and nourishing bone broths kept our ancestors healthy. Sally Fallon Morell, author of Nourishing Traditions, explained why these are vital factors for maintaining good health today. Beginning with a presentation of Dr. Weston Price’s unforgettable photographs of healthy traditional peoples, Sally explained the underlying factors in a variety of traditional diets, which conferred beauty, strength, and complete freedom from disease on so-called primitive populations. She presented a step-by-step plan to put nourishing traditional foods back into your diet.

Sally Fallon Morell is founding president of the Weston A Price Foundation and founder of A Campaign for Real Milk. She lectures extensively around the world on issues of health and nutrition. A prolific writer of numerous articles and books, she serves as editor of Wise Traditions, the quarterly journal of the Weston A. Price Foundation. In 1996 Sally published the best-selling Nourishing Traditions (with Mary G. Enig, PhD), the cookbook that launched her career in alternative health.

Over the past 25 years, Allan Streiff has accumulated an extensive knowledge in biochemistry, biological farming, biodynamics, subtle energies and subtle energy technologies. Allan’s integration of these fields gives him a unique and comprehensive perspective on agriculture and soil, which he has successfully applied in his work as an agricultural consultant for gardeners and farmers throughout the United States. He studied with Elaine Ingham of the Soil Foodweb, Inc. and is a certified Qualitative Laboratory Technician. He is a specialist in increasing crop yields and nutritional value and reversing plant disease.
