Third Grade Farm Week
It was an exciting farm week in the third grade, which included an overnight sleepover at the school! The children had the unique opportunity to spend the night at our campus, awakening very early to milk the cows in our Seven Stars Farm. After the milking, the children boiled sap for maple syrup, ground wheat for flour, baked bread, churned butter, prepared a pot of soup, learned to harness our little horse and drive his cart, practiced knot making, and completed a seed planting project. After lunch, the children in the small overnight group rejoined the larger class for the rest of the school day. A big thank you to everyone who helped make farm week such a wonderful experience for the children!
