Altair EcoVillage is planning 35 privately-owned townhouses and flats clustered around a central green walkway in nearby Kimberton. We welcome boarding students, diversity, and the richness of intergenerational living. The ecovillage will feature low-impact energy use, with minimal utility bills. Residents will enjoy a vibrant community life centered around exchanging mutual support, working together to maintain the buildings and grounds, sharing optional meals, and socializing. We make decisions by consensus. The hub of the community will be our club house, which includes a large dining room and kitchen, playrooms, reading areas, exercise room, laundry, workshop, and guest rooms. The 9½ acres will include a garden, orchard, woods, and walking trail.

Please see our website at www.altairecovillage.org for information on ecovillages in general, Altair in particular, and our progress.  Site tours, including discussion groups and potlucks, are held the 3rd Sunday of the month, from 4:30 to 7 pm.  For more information, email .
