Kimberton Waldorf School alumni enrich the world around them. We are proud to shine a spotlight on some of our alumni to showcase their stories, career development, interests, accomplishments, and milestones.
This month's featured alumni spotlight is Esther Walser Walsh '86, Kimberton Waldorf School music teacher.
A dedicated and devoted music teacher for the first through twelfth grades, Esther has been at Kimberton Waldorf School since 1998. She received a BS and BM from Temple University in Music and Music Education. Esther also received a Master's in Waldorf Music Education from Sunbridge College, and received training in Music Therapy.
Throughout her 16 years of teaching, Esther has developed a deep appreciation for the experience she has gained from teaching at Kimberton Waldorf School. She has had the opportunity to grow and develop the capacities needed to inspire her students and become the teacher she is today.
Esther enjoys teaching at Kimberton Waldorf School because she can continue to create deep and long lasting connections with hundreds of students and her fellow colleagues. She has a profound love for music, and believes that music not only enlivens the spirit but increases a child's capacity for learning. She is committed to helping each student reach his or her highest potential, and enjoys watching her students learn and grow over the years.
“The children are absolutely beautiful and unique human beings. We are given the freedom as teachers to bring what they need every year in our curriculum. This is exciting, creative, challenging, and inspiring." shares Esther.
Esther is married to Tim Walsh, a graduate of Great Barrington Rudolf Steiner School. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two beautiful girls; both enrolled at Kimberton Waldorf School. Alicea, age 8, is in the second grade, and Avery, age 5, is in the White Rose Kindergarten.
