75th Anniversary Gala and Auction: Friday, May 5, 2017 (Date Change)
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT WITH REGARD TO THE GALA
Kimberton Waldorf School mourns the loss of Reverend Charles Rice, husband of beloved faculty member Tonya and father of Roby and Martin. Our students all knew and respected Charles – he was a huge part of the community: an inspiring speaker at many of our Martin Luther King, Jr. assemblies, Ethics class teacher to our high school students for several years, and an admissions outreach volunteer. Dr. Rice was an inspiration to all of us who had the good fortune to know him.
In light of our loss, we will be rescheduling our gala from this Saturday until Friday, May 5th, with the event running from 6:30 to 10:30. This event will be a celebration of Kimberton Waldorf School’s 75th Anniversary and of Dr. Rice’s life. A percentage of our proceeds will be directed to a fund for the Rice family to help with any immediate financial needs that they might have.
If you are unable to attend due to the change of dates, please email [email protected] Thank you for your understanding as we navigate this sad time.
Join us on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 6:30pm as we celebrate our 75th anniversary with a community gala and auction. Our evening will begin with a cocktail hour and a variety of appetizers, followed by a farm-to-table fully organic and locally sourced dinner. We are so pleased to be hosting this year’s event on campus!
Our meal will be provided by Cucina Verde. Chef Annmarie Cantrell will be creating a memorable dining experience that celebrates the bio-dynamic gardening history of Kimberton Waldorf School.
There will be many wonderful silent auction items available, but the highlight of the evening will be the live auction. Last year’s enthusiastic bidding will certainly be matched this year around donated items such as a vacation in Jamaica, a Philadelphia 76er’s experience, hard to find wines, and lots more.
Tickets are $75 per person, which includes food, cocktails and all beverages. Dinner is open seating, but tables of 8 to 10 can be reserved in advance.
